  24. The mafia is about money 💰 and the intimidation fueled by greed. Next is commitment to the people you meet, and the type of people they are with rules. And finally the most important, omerta. My name 📛 this post doesn't exist. Info is false.

  35. Marasco crime family associate, now soldier from Brooklyn was convicted of murder of a 77-year-old loan shark Tuesday.

Anthony Pandrella, 62, was found guilty of charges of murder, robbery and unlawful use of a firearm in connection to the Oct. 26, 2018, shooting death of Vincent Zito.

The Marasco associate allegedly shot Zito in the back of the head twice.

According to prosecutors, Pandrella had been holding $750,000 for Zito for safekeeping. The victim was running an ILLEGAL LOANSHARKING BUSINESS, and had to collect the money back at the time.

Pandrella refused to give the money back.

The defendant then met Zito at the victim’s Sheepshead Bay home and shot him in the back of the head at close range, prosecutors said. Pandrella stole expensive foreign-made wristwatches that the victim was holding as collateral for a customer’s loan.

Pandrella attempted to cover up evidence of the murder, but he was captured on surveillance footage entering and leaving Zito’s home. His neighbor’s security cameras also caught him changing his shoes and clothes and taking out the driver’s side floor mat in his car to clean it.

Finally, DNA was found on the trigger and grip of the gun recovered at Zito’s home.

Zito’s body was discovered by his 11-year-old grandson when he returned home from school.

“Today’s verdict has found that the defendant is a cold-blooded killer who shot his elderly friend in his home, execution-style with 2 bullets in the back of the head, to avoid returning a large sum of money he was holding for the victim,” Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Breon Peace said in a statement. “In addition to the brutal betrayal, the defendant also robbed luxury watches from the victim’s loan business.”
